My “Don’t Hate Winter” project

I was born a summer girl. I miss the never-ending warm days of my Australian home.

I do love a white Christmas and cozy evenings by the fire. But once Christmas is gone and the muddy snow remains, I’m over winter.

I feel like I have to just hunker down and survive until the sun comes out again.

But I live in a beautiful place where people come from all over the world to experience the famous slopes and winter wonders.

So, I’m going to make this year different. I’m going to force myself out of my comfort zone and embrace winter. At least a little more.

Here are some things I’m looking forward to this winter:

  1. Snow sports. I’m not a huge skier/snowboarder, but want to get into snowshoeing and cross country.
  2. Yoga. Especially hot yoga. It feels so good when it’s cold outside and helps with the winter blues.
  3. Force myself out of the house to go to fun things. Starting with my first-ever Pinners Conference this weekend, I am going to get out and be social, even if I just feel like hibernating.
  4. Plan fun festivities with the kids. We’re going to equip ourselves with good winter gear and get outside more to sled, ice skate, and go see the lights.
  5.  Plan a fun trip to somewhere warm in January. It’ll make those dreary winter months so much more bearable.

That’s all I’ve got, folks! My next part of my “Don’t Hate Winter” project is to come up with ways to entertain indoors. Any tips?
