I love pulling out our Christmas books every year. Don’t tell, but I enjoy it far more than decorating our tree! Here are twelve of our tried and true favorites, including some new ones you won’t want to miss.

- Red and Lulu: Two birds are separated when their tree is relocated to the heart of New York City and they must find their way back to each other.
- Last Stop on the Reindeer Express: This story of a little girl connecting with her grandpa during the holiday season makes me cry! The interactive pages are so fun and whimsical.
- Snow Sisters: We’ve loved this one for years. Just look at the illustrations!
- The Mitten: Jan Brett is a favorite around here and this is the perfect wintery story.
- Pick a Pine Tree: This one captures the magic of finding and trimming your tree.
- A Very Mercy Christmas: We are HUGE Mercy Watson fans and were so excited when this came out!
- Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Sleigh!: My kids want to own every pigeon book and this Christmas edition of is so cute.
- Mice Skating: This is one you’ll love having around all winter long. Trust me on this one. Charming and adorable.
- Bunny Christmas: There’s something so cozy about this book! Can’t beat $6 for a hardcover.
- Bunny Slopes: Guess we’re really into Christmas bunnies? We have two adorable Holland Lops so I guess it makes sense! Littler kids will LOVE this interactive book.
- Winter: A Solstice Story: A pretty, classy, calming book you’ll want to jump inside of.
