Young Adult reads for moms

My friends at Litjoy Crate are some of the biggest YA fiction fangirls out there. Plus, they’re both mamas. So, going to them for a list of their favorite YA “mom-reads” was a no-brainer. Here’s what they heartily recommend:

1. “Edenbrooke” and “Blackmoore” by Julie Donaldson (these aren’t exactly YA, but they are such great mom reads!)

2. The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas

3. “Ready Player One” by Ernest Cline

4. The Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare (book #2 and #3 are AMAZING!)

5. “Illuminae” and “Gemina” by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

6. “Shadow on the Crown” by Patricia Bracewell and “The False Prince” by Jennifer Nielson (these both fall under historical fiction and are both wonderful!)

7. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer

8. “Anne of Green Gables” by Lucy Maud Montgomery

9. “Ender’s Game” by Orson Scott Card

10. “Shadow and Bone” by Leigh Bardugo

11. “Wonder” by R.J. Palacio (this is categorized as Middle Grader but we adore it so much and believe everyone should read it!)

12. “Austenland” by Shannon Hale
